Andreas Vollenweider - Behind the Gardens - Behind the Wall - Under the Tree ...

50 - Andreas Vollenweider wurde 1957 in Zürich in der Schweiz geboren. Er wuchs in einer künstlerisch vielseitigen Umgebung auf. Als Autodidakt lernte er auch schon früh zahlreiche Musikinstrumente zu spielen. 1975 entdeckte er die Harfe für sich, entwickelte seine eigene Spieltechnik und modifizierte seine Harfe mit Hilfe eines Freundes. Es entstand seine elektro-akustische Harfe. 1979 veröffentlichte er sein erstes Album "Eine Art Suite in XIII Teilen", welches als Wiege des Vollenweider Sounds gilt. 1981 gab er dann sein erstes Konzert auf dem Montreux Jazz Festival und danach im Herbst erschien "Behind the Gardens - Behind the Wall - Under the Tree ...". Andreas Vollenweider ist immer noch aktiv und gab erst 2010 eine große Europa Tournee.
