Blues-Klassiker und Blues-Rock aus den 60er und 70er Jahren sind der Hauptbestandteil der Blues Küche. Hier werden meistens Schallplatten gespielt, die älter als 20 Jahre sind. Alte Aufnahmen, die bis in die 20er Jahre zurückreichen, machen die Geschichte des Blues hörbar. Einflüsse historischer Bluesmusiker auf spätere Generationen und andere Zusammenhänge werden dadurch veranschaulicht. Unbekannte Versionen bekannter Stücke, akustische Gitarrenmusik (z. B. Fingerpicking) und deutschsprachige Titel runden das Programm ab.

wurde der Blues schon zu Zeiten der Sklaverei genannt; des Teufels Musik, unchristlich, unmoralisch und gegen kirchliche wie staatliche Autoritäten gerichtet. Wieviel Teufel-Musik steckt tatsächlich im Blues? Oder ist der Blues im Grunde genommen eher christlich orientiert? Oder doch alles nur Show und Marketing?
