George Roger Waters (geb. 06.09.1943 in Great Bookham, England) ist ein britischer Sänger, E-Bassist, Gitarrist, Komponist und Musikproduzent der als Mitbegründer von Pink Floyd bekannt wurde. Noch während seiner Zeit bei Pink Floyd (ab 1975 bis 1985) arbeitete Waters an seinem ersten Soloalbum, das dann vor genau 40 Jahren - 1984 veröffentlicht wurde. "The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking" ist ein Konzeptalbum, das die morgendlichen Gedanken eines Reisenden - zwischen 4.30 Uhr und 05.12 Uhr - thematisiert, entsprechend sind die Album-Titel benannt. Die Ideen zu dem Album hatte Waters gleichzeitig als der am Konzept zum legendären "The Wall"-Album (und Show) arbeitete. Roger Waters ist bis heute als Solomusiker erfolgreich. Er hat über die Jahrzehnte diverse Soloalben veröffentlicht. Wir füllen die Stunde heute mit drei Titeln aus dem Livealbum "Us + Them" von 2018 - mit originären Pink Floyd-Titeln.
