rick Wakeman - Journey to the Centre of the Earth

34 - "Journey to the Centre of the Earth", oder auch die Reise zum Mittelpunkt der Erde, ist der wohl bekannteste Roman von Jules Verne. Rick Wakeman, mit seiner klassischen Ausbildung, verlies 1974 die Gruppe YES und wandte sich seinen Solo-Projekten zu. Am 18.1.1974 wurde "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" in der Royal Festival Hall of London ur-aufgeführt. Zusammen mit Rick Wakeman an den Tasteninstrumenten spielten das "Londoner Synphony Orchester" und "The English Chamber Chor" unter der Leitung von David Meashan. Der Erzähler war der Schauspieler David Hemmings.
Die LP ist ein Live Mitschnitt des Konzerts.
