8- Udo Lindenberg ist zur Zeit wieder in aller Munde (Besser in den Nachrichten). Viele werden allerdings viele Lieder von ihm gar nicht kennen. Gut die größten Hits kennt wahrscheinlich jeder aber außerdem gibt es noch andere Lieder von Ihm die man anhören kann. Weihnachts-Special mit Emerson Lake and Palmer und der 3-fach LP "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends"

7 - Weihnachtsspecial: "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends - Emerson Lake & Palmer" (ELP).
ELP wurde im Jahre 1970 von dem Keyboarder Keith Emerson, dem Bassist und Sänger Greg Lake und dem Schlagzeuger Carl Palmer gegründet .
ELP gilt als eine britische Supergroup, die der Stilrichtung des Progressive Rock zuzurechnen ist und diese in der Frühzeit entscheidend mitprägte.
Die ersten Alben waren 1970 – Emerson, Lake & Palmer, 1971 – Tarkus, 1971 – Pictures at an Exhibition, 1972 – Trilogy und 1973 – Brain Salad Surgery.
Die Musik dieser Alben wurde auf den Welttourneen Get Me A Ladder und Brain Salad Surgery gespielt. Einige der dort entstandenen Aufnahm wurden zu dem dreifach Life Album "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends" zusammengestellt. Sehr komplexe, pompöde Musik, Progressive Rock vom Feinsten halt.

Lange Zappa Nacht 2011 - Weihnachts Special

Auch Anfang diesen Jahres gibt es wieder die lange Zappa Nacht 2011. Gestartet ist das Ganze unter einem schlechten Stern. Die Moderatoren der letzen Jahre sind ausgefallen. Roland hat keine Zeit und Jochen liegt krank im Bett. Bin nur ich übrig geblieben. Erst haben wir überlegt ob wir die Sendung nicht ausfallen lassen oder verschieben. Ich habe mich aber entschieden die Sendung auch alleine zu machen. Da ist mir zum Glück noch mein alter Paddel Freund Raimund Stetter-Alle eingefallen der mit mir schon auf dem Camping Platz an der Soca im Wohnwagen Zappa gehört hat. Hab ihn noch kurz vor der Sendung angerufen und er ist spontan gekommen. Eigentlich wollte er nur bis 1 Uhr bleiben, ist aber erst nach 3:15 Uhr nach Hause gegangen. Hat einfach wieder riesigen Spaß gemacht.
Sechs Stunden Zappa im Jahr am Stück braucht man einfach jährlich. :-)

Auch Anfang diesen Jahres gibt es wieder die lange Zappa Nacht 2011. Gestartet ist das Ganze unter einem schlechten Stern. Die Moderatoren der letzen Jahre sind ausgefallen.

6 - Johnny Guitar Watson war ein einflussreicher US-amerikanischer Blues-, Soul- und Funk-Musiker der 1950er- bis 1990er-Jahre. Warum ich gerade Heute die LP "A Real Mother for Ya" von 1977 spiele, hat einen einfachen Grund. JGW war auch in anderen Band's sehr aktiv und hat unter anderem auch mit Frank Zappa gespielt. Zu hören ist er auf One Size Fits All (1975), Them Or Us (1984) und Frank Zappa: Meets the Mothers of Prevention (1985), von denen wir in der Langen Zappa Nacht bestimmt auch einiges spielen.
